Junior Art Camp (ages 3 - 5)
Junior Art Camp is just like the big kids’ camp, only pint-sized for little boys and girls, ages 3 to 5. Campers spend either a morning or afternoon singing, moving & making wonderful art projects. Participants attend either a morning session from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. or an afternoon session from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Each session is limited to 32 students.

Art Camp (grades K-6)
Art camp is for students who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade. New this year, students will spend an entire morning with one instructor working on wonderful projects. After lunch, they will move to a second instructor & continue the fun. These campers will explore nature & environment themes. Bring a lunch each day (old clothes or a paint shirt is a good idea, too.) Also new this year, there are several different locations in Somerset County for art camp.

Theater Camp
Theater camp brings Missoula Children's Theater's "RED RIDING HOOD" to town this year. There are parts for the beginning actor and enticing roles for the seasoned expert. The show will be fun for everyone. Limit - 64 students (18 students ages 6 to 7; 23 students ages 8 to 12; 19 students 9 to 18; 4 students ages 11 to 18 as student directors.) Pack a lunch and bring your stage voice.   Performances will be at 3 p.m. & 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 28.

Advanced “Arts” Camp (grades 7 - 12)

Advanced Art Camp is for aspiring young artists who truly want to perfect a subject matter. In-depth projects in drawing & painting OR sculpture are planned. Bring a lunch & spend the day immersed in art!

    Tuesday, July 8 through Friday, August 12 • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Youth Art Exhibit

The Youth Arts Exhibit is designed to highlight and reward the talents of Somerset County’s young artists. Young people from 10 years of age through the graduating class of 2008 may enter. All media will be accepted. Each artist may submit up to three pieces of art for an entry fee of $4 per piece or $10 for three pieces. Entry fees are non-refundable. Artwork previously displayed at Laurel Arts (school shows) will not be accepted.

Entries will be judged in two classes: 10-14 years of age and 15 and up. Cash prizes of $75 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third place will be awarded in each class.

2-D artwork must be framed and ready to hang.
