Laurel Arts is pleased to announce that the Pittsburgh-based band RUSTED ROOT will headline the pre-Somerfest celebration July 14, 2012 under the Somerfest tent. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tickets: $20/ advance $25/doors $15/college students (with valid college ID) Opening act to be determined Call 814-443-2433 to purchase. Monday - July 16	Volunteer Picnic – Be part of Somerfest – we need help at the gates and at the bar!
Tuesday – July 17	Filmfest Night – Join Chef Larry for dinner & “Explore Costa Rica” $5 – Where else can you get dinner & a movie at that price?
Thursday - July 19	Family Movie Night – Jim Donavan Drum Workshop for Kids & “The Jungle Book” on the big screen. $10 per family. Free cotton candy, snow cones & popcorn.
Friday - July 20	Kick off the first official night of Somerfest with Randy Myers & finish the night with Mr. Bickle. The Volk brothers from last year’s Youth Musician Showcase will entertain on the lawn stage with their band Split Resistance.
Saturday - July 21	Somerfest parade featuring the Shriner’s Anniversary starting at 11 a.m It’s sure to be the biggest parade this year! Enjoy the Laurel Arts dancers, Youth Musician Showcase, Mediterranean music with Ishtar, the children’s area with free activities, children’s entertainment with Ray Owns (singer, songwriter and funny guy extraordinaire), and more Randy Myers. Then get ready for the Somerfest Saturday Night Time Warp under the tent - featuring Stare Gary (acoustic set), The Johnsons, Diamond Grime & Nixon Pit Crew. Our Youth Musician Showcase winners will be featured on the lawn stage.
Sunday - July 22	Don’t miss Sunday with music for everyone all day. Come early for the Laurel Highlands Chorale & Somerset Community Band under the tent. Ray Owens will be entertaining the little ones & make sure not to miss the magic show. The band Tree will provide some Irish flair. Don’t miss the band, Bullfighter, under the tent for classic rock. Like you haven’t heard it before! Check out CircusMutt on the lawn stage while the tent stage prepares for the grand finale of Somerfest, Beatlemania Magic, the Beatles tribute band.
