Susan Wilson teaches students how to make beautiful, heirloom-quality pottery.
This workshop will cover the basics of working with clay, handbuilding both functional and sculptural forms. The techniques will include pinch, coil, slab, and sculpture. Participants will leave class with an understanding of working in the clay medium. If you have ideas of what to make but are unsure how to get there, this week will cover many solutions. Discusssion about each participant's approach to making pots will lead to a better understanding of what is possible.
If students are interested in glazing, another session will be held from August 14 - 18 specifically on glazing.

Wine and Food Pairing - New Class Coming Soon!
Intended for students age 21 and older with basic cooking competency. More information will be available soon. Please contact us to put your name on the contact list. Call 814-443-2433.
Join well-known local papercutter Kathy Reed to learn a few basic techniques and tips that will lead you to the fun part of folding (or not) and cutting paper designs. As your confidence grows you can add your own inventive variations. Take away areas of the paper, called negative spaces, using scissors or a craft knife, and you end up with more than you started with -- imaginative, personal shapes. This is how people made paper "love tokens" before store-bought greeting cards. It's an inexpensive and fun hobby!
Please call for the next available class!
